Tile and Grout Cleaning
Overview
Grout is porous. It absorbs whatever lands on the floor, and once it darkens, mopping will not bring it back. Clear Facility Services deep cleans and seals tile and grout in restrooms, kitchens, locker rooms, lobbies and entryways across the Twin Cities.
What We Clean
Ceramic, porcelain and quarry tile floors
Restroom and locker room walls and partition bases
Commercial kitchen floors and coved tile
Shower and wet area tile
Entryway and lobby tile
Our Process
1. Inspection
We check the tile type, the grout condition and any existing sealer first, because the wrong chemical on the wrong tile causes damage that cleaning cannot undo.
2. Pre-Treatment
A cleaner matched to the soil and the tile is applied and given time to break down what is sitting in the grout line.
3. Hot Water Extraction
High-pressure hot water and vacuum extraction pull the soil out of the grout instead of pushing it deeper.
4. Grout Sealing
A penetrating sealer closes the pores, so the next round of spills sits on top long enough to be wiped up.
5. Final Inspection
We walk the floor again and re-treat any grout line that did not come clean on the first pass.
What to Expect
Grout lines come back to a consistent color, though a permanently stained line may not fully recover
Sealed grout stays cleaner and mops up faster between deep cleans
Most commercial floors need this every 12 to 18 months
